Our Lawyer


Kaiser Akbar is the founding partner of Kaiser Akbar Law Firm where he practices exclusively in the area of corporate and securities law.

Kaiser studied economics at the University of Manitoba, obtained his M.A. in 1992. Kaiser attended Osgoode Hall Law School, graduating in 1997. He articled with the law firm of Levinter & Levinter in Toronto before specializing in corporate and securities law upon being called to the bar in Ontario in 1999. Prior to setting up his own law firm, Kaiser was a partner at the law firm of Boyle & Co LLP between 2003 and 2007. Kaiser also worked as a senior capital markets lawyer with the English law firm of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP between 2007 and 2009. In addition to his legal practice, Kaiser has been a director of public companies in Canada, and overseas. Kaiser has listed companies on the TSX Venture Exchange, the Toronto Stock Exchange and the London Stock Exchange.
